Edinburgh Castle

This was done for a week end painting event,this is the north side of the castle,and mt ref pic was taken in January,lots of snow,size is mounted 19x15.

My first watercolour attempt at a cat,tried painting the fur with short quick strokes laying down one colour over another.

Hey,this is 16x12 MDF board,2 coats of gesso plus the remains of my acryllic pallette which consisted of a variety of reds,which gave me a good b/g to paint and draw into,once i had established my figures ,and painted them in along with the reflections and windows, i went in with my Caran D'ache Neocolour Watersoluble crayon,using them dry like pastels.
